Summer Camp

"The land is where our roots are. The children must be taught to feel and live in harmony with the Earth."

Bridges Montessori's dynamic summer camp program, Camp Explorations, provides children ages 18 months to sixth grade with fun opportunities to explore, create, and enjoy the wonders of the season.  Each weekly session provides a unique thematic program so children can experience a variety of topics in-depth. Without the pressure of academic rigor, the exploration of our world becomes a fun and fascinating journey.

For example, older campers engage in space exploration projects during Space Week, enjoying a trip to the Planetarium and building rockets and telescopes. During Innovation week, campers create zany creations and bring ingenious ideas to fruition. Wilderness Week is wildly popular, with campers learning tent and survival skills while hiking and tracking. Younger campers enjoy themes such as Gardening Week, Hands-on Science Week, and Florida Bird Watching Week, with related field trips and activities such as a trip to Rapids Water Park during Water Week. Even the toddlers in camp enjoy in-house field trips, weekly gymnastics, and wacky Water Wednesdays!

Our summer staff prepares wondrous opportunities and events for children to delve into each topic intensively, with hands-on projects and related side trips into the community each and every week.
